UFRJ desalination project

Problem
Producing desalinated water from heat that would otherwise be wasted.
What was done
A microturbine runs with an ACTE industrial heat exchanger. Heat from the exhaust gas warms the water used in the desalination process. Rengia commissioned and started up the system.

Simões Filho project: waste to power

Problem
Thermal waste treatment produces high-temperature heat that currently goes unused.
What is being done
Study of a solution that turns that heat into electricity, using a high-temperature heat exchanger and a microturbine.

Problem
Data centres are asking for grid connections faster than the grid can grow.
What is being done
Gas-fired generation blocks installed next to the racks, starting with the block built around a 2 MW-class turbine.
